Privacy Policy

1. Information You Provide

• Account information: When you sign in, we store your email address, a chosen username/handle, and an internal account role. We do not store a traditional password for you — sign-in is handled through our own session system (and may support third-party sign-in providers), so we hold no plaintext or hashed password for standard accounts.

• Profile information: Anything you choose to add to your public profile — avatar, banner image, bio, social links — is, by definition, public. Optional private preference fields (gender, location, primary DAW, AI persona preference, brand affinity) are used only to tailor your own experience and are not shown on your public profile unless a future feature says otherwise.

• Uploaded content: Tracks, cover art, and related metadata you upload to your Vault, plus anything you type into comments or the SONIC chat assistant.

• Audio signature: To help us confirm that a stream or file genuinely originated from the Service (for example, if a recording is later found circulating elsewhere without authorization), tracks may be processed to carry an inaudible digital signature. This signature does not identify you personally, does not track your activity outside the Service, and is separate from the metadata described above.

• Gameplay & economy data: Your Sound Points / SONIC Token balance, Vinyl Shards, Prism Gems, producer level, faction, streaks, leaderboard scores, and similar in-platform progress (see our Terms of Service, Section 5, on the Virtual Items themselves).

2. Information Collected Automatically

• Log data: Like most websites, our servers automatically log standard technical information — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps.

• Listening & usage data: What you stream, queue, and play, your play history (used to power features like Previous/Next and personalized recommendations), and basic gameplay telemetry from our mini-games (used to diagnose bugs and balance the games — see our engineering notes if you're curious how this is logged).

• Cookies & local storage: See our Cookie Policy for the full breakdown — in short, an authentication session cookie for signed-in accounts, plus local-storage preferences like volume and queue state.

3. AI Chat Assistant (SONIC)

When you message SONIC, your message and enough surrounding context to answer it (e.g. what's currently playing) are sent to a third-party AI model provider to generate a response — see our AI Content Disclosure for which provider and model we use. We do not send your account password (we don't have one to send) or payment information, because we don't collect payment information at all. Treat chat messages the way you'd treat any message sent to a cloud service: don't share anything there you wouldn't want processed by a third party.

4. How We Use Your Information

• To operate the Service — authenticate you, display your profile and uploads, run the radio stream, track your Virtual Items, and serve the AI chat assistant.

• To personalize your experience — recommendations, queue behavior, and (if you opt into them) profile-tailoring preferences.

• To maintain security and prevent abuse — detecting economy exploits, spam, or Terms violations.

• To improve the Service — aggregate, de-identified analytics on stream/listener metrics and gameplay balance.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use tracking cookies for cross-site targeted advertising.

5. How We Share Information

• Publicly, by design: Your handle, avatar, bio, public uploads, and comments are visible to anyone who visits the Service — that's the point of a public creator profile.

• Service providers: We use third-party infrastructure to run the Service, including our hosting provider and the AI model provider behind SONIC (see Section 3 and our AI Content Disclosure). These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own independent purposes.

• Legal reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, or to investigate a DMCA claim, security incident, or Terms violation (see our DMCA / Copyright policy).

We do not currently process payments or store any payment-card information, because the Service does not sell anything for real money.

6. Data Retention & Your Choices

We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for backups, abuse prevention, and legal compliance. You can edit or remove most profile fields and Vault content yourself at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, contact us using the details in Section 11 — we'll honor the request except where we're legally required to retain something (e.g. an active DMCA dispute).

Master Sonic VIP launch waitlist

If you join the Master Sonic VIP waitlist, we collect your email address and record your explicit newsletter consent, consent timestamp, and the versions of the consent and privacy notice shown. We use these details to manage the waitlist and send Master Sonic VIP launch newsletter updates. Signup itself does not send an email. You may withdraw consent or request access or deletion by contacting privacy@walkingwithai.com. When you withdraw consent, we mark the record unsubscribed and do not use it for future newsletter sends; we retain that status until deletion is requested or the waitlist is closed, subject to reasonable backup retention. We do not sell this waitlist information.

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will close it and delete the associated data.

8. Third-Party Links

The Service may link to external sites we don't control. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites — check their own policies before sharing information with them.

9. International Data Transfers

We use third-party infrastructure providers (hosting, storage, and the AI model provider behind SONIC) that may process or store data outside Malaysia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your data continues to receive an appropriate standard of protection, consistent with the PDPA.

10. Governing Law & Legal Entity

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Malaysia. The Service is operated by Jhosen AI Consultancy (SSM Business Registration No: [SSM NUMBER]), a sole proprietorship registered in Malaysia at [REGISTERED ADDRESS], trading as "Walking With AI."
